IMD Business School has announced enrollment is open for two new executive education courses aimed at providing and honing the skills needed to succeed in business leadership roles.
The short-term courses are to begin at several junctures in 2014. ‘Foundations for Business Leadership (FBL)’ runs over an intensive three-week period, including weekends, and is said to be a suitable stepping stone to IMD Business School’s EMBA program.
"By studying the core functions of a global organization, including marketing, finance, HR, strategy, sustainability and innovation, FBL integrates several disciplines in order to develop a generalist's perspective," said FBL program co-director, Benoît Leleux in a press release.
Meanwhile, ‘Transition to Business Leadership (TBL)’, features two modules, each of which runs for two weeks. TBL is supplemented by distance learning before, during and after the course modules have finished. Plus, from 2015, single modules are set to be offered overseas in Brazil, Singapore and the US.
The two courses stand alone, but when taken together constitute IMD’s Program for Executive Development, for which a diploma is awarded.
